Day in the life of Brandon Lobar

By Chris Devonshire | 29th November 2021

Meet, Brandon, one of Devonshire Hayes’ most recent promotion, a racing enthusiast and Caterham owner and one of our resident Digital Transformation specialists.

Brandon was our 2nd team member to join Devonshire Hayes almost one year ago.

Here’s what Brandon has to say about his life at Devonshire Hayes.

A typical day for Brandon

My typical day involves composing a day plan, morning sales meeting, checking emails, resourcing for live jobs and building relationships within the digital transformation world to help new clients.

My favourite part of the job ?

The best part of my job is speaking to new people every day and helping them discover new and exciting career prospects. I love continually improving, learning new skills and feeling that I am getting better at the job I do. Both from a candidate resourcing perspective and building new relationships.

I am most proud of…

Achieving my 6-month promotion target in 4 months. The opportunities are here if you want them and career development is mapped out and encouraged and Chris and Matt are really invested in us, as individuals, to grow WITH the business.

The value that resonates the most

Empathy for everyone. We listen with humility and believe that empathy is at the heart of co-operation and positive outcomes, for everyone.

Authenticity, from both the people I work with to the candidates and clients I speak to everyday. The job is better for everyone when we are all open and truthful!

One of the best benefits for me is the ability to share ideas with senior managers and the freedom to be able to approach your day-to-day tasks how you feel best suits you and your clients. That autonomy inspires creative thinking and supports our growth.

I am motivated by…

Overachieving targets I set myself and feeling that I am really adding significant value to my clients.

I love DH because it is an excellent platform to achieve my personal and career goals in a great environment.

If I had to describe DH in three words, it would be people focused relationships

One random fact about me ✈️

I once travelled 18 hours to Azerbaijan for a football match. We lost. ?
