Our client is looking for an ambitious individual who is committed to the company mission statement and overall vision and can ensure a smooth running of global risk databases and database platforms.

Responsibilities

 Build and maintain SQL Azure and on-prem databases

 Build and maintain SQL Azure managed instances

 Provide database administration on existing on-prem SQL Servers (2012-2022)

 Maintain high availability (replication) of production databases to report SQL servers

 Maintain replication of production databases to Azure managed instance

 Provide regular maintenance on SQL Server Statistics, Indexes, and backups for key databases

 Determine, enforce, and document database policies, procedures, and standards

 Perform tests and evaluations regularly to ensure data security, privacy, and integrity

 Monitor database performance and SQL agent

Knowledge/Skills/Qualifications

 Proven working experience as a Database Administrator

 Hands-on experience with database standards and end user applications

 Excellent knowledge of data backup, recovery, security, integrity, and SQL

 Familiarity with database design, documentation, and coding

 Previous experience with DBA case tools (frontend/backend) and third-party tools

 Ability to work on their own.

 Knowledge of MS SQL Server 2012 – 2022 (inc Azure)

 MS Power platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Data verse)

 JSON (JavaScript Object Notation)

 Knowledge of reporting dashboards / Power BI / SSRS

 Knowledge of API (Application Programming Interface)

 Familiarity with DevOps practices  

 Knowledge of MS Office 365
