Sharepoint Developer

A Leading Wealth Management client have a role as a SharePoint Developer to join a fast paced exciting new team. You will share a passion for new technology and share direct experience of how technology can transform financial institutions.

This is a key role in the business and will involve building out specialist portals and applications within Sharepoint for the investment and management departments.

You will work closely with technical teams and senior stakeholders.

Some of your responsibilities will include:

  • Build out new sites and portals on SharePoint.
  • Help establish a best in practice approach to SharePoint development within the company.
  • Work with third party software and data providers.
  • Work closely with departments and department heads to ensure complex requirements and data heavy components are performant and accurate.
  • Ensure that quality and reliability are built into any work and that the necessary software development governance is adhered to.

To be successful in this role, you should:

  • Extensive SharePoint development experience in 2016 and SharePoint Online.
  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies and experience of working within a development team and scrum environment.
  • Extensive experience with technical design and technical architecture – understanding the technical architectures of both SharePoint On-Premise and Online.
  • Good knowledge of Rest services.
  • Development experience in C#
  • Good knowledge of continuous integration – relevant systems would include TeamCity and Octopus (desirable)
  • Good knowledge of best practices for .NET development.
  • Working with an organisation to deliver on their requirements – you’ll need to understand clearly what your customers are using the systems for.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of JIRA and Confluence.
  • Experience of test-driven development would be desirable.
  • Being able to provide estimates against organisational requirements relating to cost and development tasks.
